Addressing power system flexibility through battery storage and other flexible energy technologies

Key topics will include:

  • Evolution of the power market, system needs and emerging technologies
  • The role of flexible assets in achieving net zero
  • Key risks and financing challenges for flexible assets
  • The economics of merchant solar co-located with battery storage systems
  • Key risks and financing challenges for flexible assets
  • Labour’s plan for power sector decarbonisation and flexibility

The need for energy storage and flexibility has become increasingly apparent as decarbonisation ambitions are raised and renewables penetration grows.

The Aurora Battery Conference has grown to be one of the largest events for battery storage and other flexible energy technologies in Europe, combining original analysis from Aurora with perspective from leading figures from industry, finance and policy in a focused half day in central London.
